best suited for

Owners who want coaching on teaching and handling their dog. This suits dogs with a specific behavior concern, dogs who are overwhelmed in group settings, and owners who want to handle with more confidence and precision. It is also the right starting point when the behavior happens at home, on your street or around your guests — because we can work on it exactly where it shows up.

whats included
  • Direct one-to-one time with the trainer

  • A training curriculum written for your dog and your goals

  • Hands-on guidance while you handle your dog

  • Practice in a controlled environment, your home or out in the community

  • Take-home summary after every session

  • Progress reviewed at the start of the following lesson

  • Access to virtual training for between lesson help

how training is delivered

Sessions are scheduled for up to 90 minutes with the trainer, at our facility, in your home or out in the community depending on what we are working on. Each lesson is planned weekly or biweekly, around your goals and adjusted as your dog progresses, with difficulty set to what your dog can succeed at today.

your participation

You handle your dog throughout the session. The trainer coaches your timing, leash mechanics and decisions in the moment, then you apply the same pattern between sessions. The handling is meant to belong to you, not to the trainer.

follow-up support

Every lesson ends with a short summary of what we worked on and what to practise before next time. Sessions typically open by reviewing progress since the last visit, so the plan stays current and nothing gets left behind.

best suited for

Owners who need assistance to work on their dog's behavior daily. A board and train suits dogs whose training needs are more complex, and owners who are unable to teach daily but are willing to take part in weekly lessons, the transfer and follow-up maintenance afterwards — because that participation is what makes the result last.

whats included
  • Structured daily training and living with a trainer

  • A curriculum built around your dog's goals and behavior

  • Progress updates and digital training archive

  • Essential training equipment

  • Weekly owner coaching on the cues and expectations as your dog is learning

  • Transfer lessons so you can maintain the handling

  • Follow-up lessons after the program

  • Lifetime guarantee on training

how training is delivered

Your dog lives with the trainer for a structured training period. Daily sessions cover the program goals, and the environment is managed so training is consistent and progressive. Sessions are recorded and uploaded to the shared digital archive for owner's to review.

your participation

Owner participation is crucial.Weekly lessons teach you the handling, cues and expectations your dog is learning. The final transfer session covers all the rules and commands your dog is now working with, and follow-up lessons continue after the program ends. Without the transfer and follow-ups, a board and train rarely holds up at home.

follow-up support

The program includes follow-up instruction for you after each lesson, so you are not left to remember everything alone. You will receive a physical copy of your digital training archive to look back on. If your dog's training were to revert and you have completed your follow-up lessons, our guarantee covers follow-up training while boarding.

best suited for

Dogs who are able to learn with other dogs and people nearby, and handlers who want regular guidance on handling, teaching and applying training. Dogs who are reactive, fearful or easily overwhelmed must start with another program — a group is not the place to work through that for the first time.

whats included
  • Weekly structured group sessions with a trainer and 4 other attendees

  • Progressive exercises built around real-world application

  • Practice with other dogs and owners nearby

  • Individual guidance within the group

  • Weekly exercises to apply and teach at home

how training is delivered

Classes run in a structured group setting at our facility and in the community, with each dog and owner working alongside the others. Exercises progress session by session, and weekly virtual teachings are given out to prepare your dog for the next class.

your participation

You handle your dog in class and follow the trainer's exercises. The trainer will coach each owner individually to ensure each team is correctly teaching, training, and applying the instructions. You're responsible for continuing practice and application between classes.

follow-up support

You leave every class with the sessions training and what to practice before the next class. At-home teaching will be shared virtually to each owner to prepare their dog for the exercises taught in the next session. Continuing the class curriculum depends on how the skills are holding up, not simply on attendance. If a team is behind the rest of the class, they will need to participate in a private lesson prior to re-attending the class; as each class gains in difficulty it is vital owners give their dog's what they need to succeed.

best suited for

Dogs who need more mental exercise or structure than daycare provides, and who do well in the company of other dogs. Suitability for group interaction is assessed for each dog — play style, arousal level and how well they take instruction within the group; not every dog is a fit for group without prior training.

whats included
  • Supervised play with compatible dogs

  • Enrichment and mental engagement through the day

  •  3 planned training blocks with predefined goals

  • Managed rest periods for regulation

  • A daily handover on what was covered along with video in digital archive

  • Guidance on what to continue at home

how training is delivered

Dogs spend the day in a structured routine that combines supervised play with Dogma staff and daycare dogs, and planned individual or group training blocks. Training focuses on what your goals and needs are, and rest periods are built into the day rather than waiting until they're needed to help dog self-regulate.

your participation

Owners take part through applying what is handed over at the end of the day and reviewing videos to know how to keep reinforcing at home. The daily structure and any training focus are determined with you in advance.

follow-up support

You will know what your dog worked on and how the day went, with practical suggestions for what to continue at home so the training does not stay at the door. You'll also receive either virtual or hands-on coaching with the trainer to discuss the focuses

Pricing, program lengths, session locations and availability are confirmed on enquiry so they always reflect current schedules. Nothing here is a guaranteed outcome — suitability depends on your individual dog and the format you choose.
