Customized Training Options
Updated: Oct 20
Not every dog needs the same program, and not every owner needs the same level of support. The right approach depends on your goals, your dog's current understanding, and how you want training to fit into your life.
At Connective Canine, customized training gives you room to be deliberate about that decision. Whether you want direct guidance, a structured program, or consistent training support throughout the week, we can help you choose an approach that serves the work ahead.
Mix Of Programs
A More Considered Approach to Training
Your dog's training does not have to fit within a single program. Combining private lessons, Board & Train, group classes, and Play & Train can create a more complete approach—one that balances professional instruction with your involvement at home.
Each format serves a different purpose, and when used together, they can address your dog's needs from multiple angles. We can help you determine which combination makes the most sense for your goals, schedule, and dog, so every part of the program has a clear purpose.
Private Lessons
Focused guidance for the goals that matter most.
An individual lesson is an opportunity to experience our training methods firsthand, address a specific concern, or begin building a clearer understanding of your dog with a trainer's guidance.
Our priority is not to rush toward a finished result. It is to establish understanding that can support lasting progress. Individual lessons begin with your dog's current foundation and do not build upon training completed outside of Connective Canine.
$175 per lesson
Training equipment sold separately
For owners who share similar goals, a more collaborative option may be available. Bring together two other owners to form a private group of three, with six structured lessons at $125 per lesson, including training equipment. This option follows one of our established group class curricula, allowing each owner to work toward a common objective with professional guidance.
Custom Board & Train
A program shaped around your dog, not a predetermined tier.
Some training goals require a more immersive approach. Our Custom Board & Train option gives you the opportunity to work directly with a trainer to define your priorities, establish a realistic timeline, and determine the structure best suited to your dog.
Rather than selecting from a fixed package, we organize the program around the work your dog needs. That means the training plan begins with your objectives and develops around the skills, understanding, and consistency required to pursue them.
The value is in having a clear direction from the beginning, with the flexibility to make thoughtful decisions as training progresses.
$1,000 per week
If your goals are specific, your timeline matters, or a standard program does not quite fit, a custom plan offers a more considered place to start.
Private Mini Group Classes
A shared objective, with a more personal setting.
Group training does not have to mean joining a large class of unfamiliar dogs and owners. If you know two other owners working toward similar goals, we can arrange a private group of three around an established course.
Across six lessons, you will follow a structured curriculum with trainer guidance, practical handling experience, and the opportunity to learn alongside people pursuing the same objectives.
This format is available when your goals align with one of our existing group class courses. It offers the structure of a proven curriculum with the familiarity of a smaller, privately organized group.
Three owners per group
Six lessons at $125 per lesson
Training equipment included
The right group can make training more engaging, but the benefit extends beyond the class itself. You develop the skills to work with your dog while learning alongside owners who understand the commitment involved.
Play & Train
Consistent practice, with a clear connection to home.
Progress is built through repetition, thoughtful handling, and the ability to carry training into everyday life. Play & Train offers individual training days for owners who want professional support between lessons or a more consistent rhythm of practice.
Each day concludes with a handover from your trainer detailing the work completed, along with a training video for your digital archive. You will know what your dog practiced, what deserves reinforcement, and how to continue developing those skills at home.
The goal is not simply to have your dog trained during the day. It is to help you understand the work well enough to maintain it in the moments that matter most.
$65 per training day
Individual training with a trainer
End-of-day handover and training video
For busy owners, this creates a practical connection between professional training and daily life—without leaving you guessing about what happened or what comes next.
