THE PERSONALIZED ADVANTAGE
Why Our Tailored Sessions Change Everything
Your dog was not made to follow a one-size fits all lesson curriculum. It should be personalized based off you and your dog's goals, and move at a pace that encourages understanding; not another command.
Connective Canine coachinng
Tailored One-On-One Lessons
Our lessons are built around you and your dog. Because your wants and needs aren't the same as every other dog owners and shouldn't be treated as such.
Customized training curriculum, tailored towards your dog
Adjustable lessons to encourage comprehension
Mutually beneficial scheduling, made to fit your schedule
Ranked focuses, so we can address your biggest concerns from the beginning
Adaptable training methods that train the way that’s best for you and your dog
Personalized rules that you’ll want to enforce; not have to
TRADITIONAL MODEL
Standard Private Training
Most private training is premade before you even speak to a trainer. With set rules, methods, and goals that don't align with your own.
Strict lesson plans
Predetermined scheduling
Pre-chosen training focuses
Unnecessary rules and boundaries
Who this is suited for
Owners who want coaching on teaching and handling their dog. This suits dogs with a specific behavior concern, dogs who are overwhelmed in group settings, and owners who want to handle with more confidence and precision. It is also the right starting point when the behavior happens at home, on your street or around your guests — because we can work on it exactly where it shows up.
owner participation
You handle your dog throughout the session. The trainer coaches your timing, leash mechanics and decisions in the moment, then you apply the same pattern between sessions. The handling is meant to belong to you, not to the trainer.
How progress is supported afterwards
After each lesson, you'll have access to instructional videos and a walkthrough of the material covered, giving you a reference to return to at home. Direct trainer access provides additional guidance when questions arise, helping you maintain consistency rather than guess at how to handle a challenge.
Training is not limited to what your dog can accomplish during an appointment. The objective is to develop your ability to communicate clearly, recognize what your dog needs, and apply the same expectations in everyday situations. Between lessons, your practice turns instruction into a skill you can rely on.
Each session builds on the last. The more consistently you apply what you've learned, the more prepared you and your dog become for the next level of work.
Where we train
Private lessons take place at our Smyrna facility at Dogma Dog Care, 4790 Wright Dr SE, Smyrna, GA 30082, in your home, or in an agreed community setting. We serve Acworth, Smyrna, Kennesaw, Marietta, and Woodstock; appointment and travel availability are confirmed before booking.
Training starts where your dog can learn clearly, then progresses toward the distractions and situations you need to handle. For front-door manners, visitors, or neighborhood walks, home and community sessions let you practice where the difficulty occurs.
program structure
Private lessons put you in control of your dog's progress, with a trainer guiding how to teach, train, and apply what matters most. Every session is shaped around your dog's needs and the situations you want to handle with greater confidence.
Training starts in a controlled environment that allows your dog to have the best opportunity to learn. You'll work hands-on with your dog while learning the timing, handling, and communication that turn instruction into practical skill. Each lesson builds on the last, with progress reviewed from the week prior and the next week’s focus adjusted.
Between sessions, you'll have a clear plan to follow, step-by-step training resources, and direct support when questions arise. The further along in the training, the more complexity and difficulty training becomes until we reach your goals—this includes environments, distractions, triggers, and whatever else your dog may face while training.
Our structured packages are built around your goals based off tiers. Each tier increases the complexity of the work, the environments you train in, and the level of reliability expected.
Packages includes training equipment, personalized curriculum, step-by-step instructional videos, post-lesson walkthroughs, and direct trainer access for assistance at home.
Lessons within our packages are available for $150, and include equipment. Returning clients and program alumni receive 50% off individual lessons.
Additional options
You can begin with an individual lesson to experience our methods or focus on a specific goal with a trainer's guidance. Individual lessons cannot built off prior training outside of Connective Canine and will prioritize your dog's understanding over the final outcome. Lessons are $175, with equipment not included.
For owners working toward the same goals, a mini group class can offer a more collaborative approach. Bring together two other owners to form a private group of three, with six lessons at $125 per lesson, including training equipment. This option is available when your training goals align with one of our established group class courses, allowing you to work through a structured curriculum alongside others with similar objectives.
